Schools get in on 60th anniversary celebration

Dress down day also raises funds for scholarships

MIAMI | Archdiocesan schools got in on the archdiocese's 60th anniversary celebration by taking part in a dress-down day Oct. 5. The colors of the day were white T-shirts and blue jeans.

Among the creative ways the schools saluted the archdiocese was the use of a drone by St. Michael the Archangel School in Miami and an archdiocesan trivia competition between teachers and students at St. Theresa School in Coral Gables. St. Kevin School in Miami also marked the celebration in Spanish and raised $1,169 for scholarships in the process. (Click here for video)
