DAVIE | Newly ordained Father Matthew Gomez will celebrate the school Mass on Friday, June 1, at 9 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church. The school's fifth grade class adopted him as a seminarian, and students from the class will serve as lectors and altar servers at the Mass. Nearly two dozen of them attended his ordination May 12.

Also, St. Bonaventure's Children's Chorale, directed by Ysomar Granado, will be in charge of the music. Father Gomez was her former student and choir member at Immaculate Conception School in Hialeah.
