Henry Garcia serves as Vice President of Mission Integration at Mercy Hospital in Miami, where he helps advance the hospital’s Catholic identity and mission through spiritual care, ethics, and community outreach.
He also serves as Chair of the Mercy Hospital Bioethics Committee, providing leadership on ethical issues that arise in clinical practice and helping to foster a culture of human dignity and compassionate care.
Henry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Bioethics from St. Thomas University, where he also serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching the principles and application of bioethical decision-making. He is passionate about integrating faith, ethics, and compassionate care within the healthcare environment.
A resident of Miami, Henry lives with his wife, Adriana, and their four children. When he is not at the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his family, sharing a good cigar with friends, appreciating fine wines, and escaping to the Smoky Mountains whenever he can.
His interests also include Personalist Bioethics, leadership development, and fostering a culture of human dignity and mercy in healthcare.
Through his writing, Henry hopes to encourage thoughtful reflection on faith, ethics, family life, and the ways the Gospel can inspire and guide our daily lives.
