MIAMI| St. Michael the Archangel School teachers and staff, along with students and parents, came together to welcome the Advent Season with an Advent blessing and festivities. On the evening of December 1, the school community gathered in the school grotto and lit up the school grounds with Christmas decorations and lights, in anticipation and preparation for the Christmas season.
"We are called to seek the light of Christ, even in the midst of darkness,” said St. Michael School Principal Carmen Alfonso during the opening of the event. “We are invited to face the darkness in our own lives and in the world around us. The prophets call us to watch for the light. We are called to wait, to hope, to trust in the promise made."
