MIAMI � The relics of St. John Bosco will arrive at the parish St. John Bosco in Little Havana on Sunday, September 26 at 11:30 a.m. Retired Auxiliary Bishop Agust�n Rom�n, Salesian Bishop Mario Fiandri of Peten, Guatemala and Father Juan Carlos Paguaga, pastor will bless the relics followed by Mass at 12:30 p.m.Below is the program of activities;
all events will take place in Spanish:
September 26
12:30 p.m. - Welcome Mass celebrated by Retired Auxiliary Bishop Agust�n Rom�n
2 - 6:45 p.m. - Veneration of the Relics
7 p.m. - Mass for the Youth celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Felipe de Jes�s Estevez
9 p.m. - midnight - Veneration of the Relics
September 27
5 a.m. - Rosary with Retired Auxiliary Bishop Agust�n Rom�n
6 a.m. - Mass celebrated by Salesian Bishop Mario Fiandri of Peten, Guatemala.
8 a.m. - Farewell Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop John Noonan
There will be continuous music and celebration throughout the veneration on the east side of the Church beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 26.
The relics arrived in Miami on September 25 at Immaculata-La Salle High School and will remain in South Florida until Monday, September 27. St. John Bosco Catholic Church is located at 1349 West Flagler Street in Miami, 33135.
MEDIA: Parking of media vehicles will be permitted in east parking lot of the parish (look for signage) in front of the San Jos� hall. (Enter by the rear entrance on 13 Avenue and NW First Street)
The pilgrim journey through 130 nations began on January 31, 2009 and has already been to 20 countries in Latin America. Don Bosco's relic�s arrival in Miami will mark the sixth destination in the United States; following San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, St. Petersburg and Belle Glade. Upon leaving Miami the relics will travel to Washington, D.C.
