MIAMI- Archbishop Thomas Wenksi will welcome a delegation from the Church in Cuba at a Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Charity, 3609 South Miami Avenue in Miami on Monday, November 8th at 8pm.Beginning November 8th -11th, a delegation from the Church in Cuba presided by Bishop Arturo González of Santa Clara will be meeting with a delegation of the Church in the United States and other regions in Miami.
On Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Miami Auxiliary Bishop Felipe Estévez will concelebrate Mass with Bishop González at St. Timothy Catholic Church, whose pastor Msgr. Tomás Marín is from the Diocese of Santa Clara.
Immediately following Mass a press conference will take place inside McCarthy Hall located at St. Timothy. In attendance will be Bishop Gonzalez, Bishop Estévez, Msgr. Marín and Father Juan Sosa.
St. Timothy is located at 5400 SW 102nd Ave in Miami, 33165.
Bishop Estévez will preside a closing mass for this meeting on Thursday, November 11 at St. John the Apostle, 475 East 4th Street in Hialeah at 7:30 p.m.
All Masses will be in Spanish.
