MIAMI GARDENS | Artworks produced by students furnished the entries for the recent Annual Gallery Art show at Monsignor Edward Pace High School.

This year’s show introduced an additional element as Pace invited all local Catholic middle schools to take part in a competition portion of the event.

Among the sixth-grade entries, Adriana Argote of Mother of Our Redeemer received the gold medal award while Alexandra Creed of St. Bartholomew School received the silver medal.

Seventh-grade winners were Kiersten Michael of St. Rose of Lima getting the silver medal and Sarah Khoury from St. John the Apostle winning the gold medal award.

Pace faculty, staff and alumni served as judges for the competition. Silver medal winners each received $250 to be applied toward a future Pace tuition. Gold medal winners received $500 prizes for future Pace tuition.

The show also featured art pieces by Pace alumni.

Marcel Navarro, lead instructor for Pace’s Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, organized the show.
