MIAMI | Students at Mother of Our Redeemer School remembered Jesus’ gift of salvation this Lent as eighth-graders in Tammy Lozano’s language arts and social studies class reenacted the 14 Stations of the Cross for students, students, faculty and staff.
The eighth-graders led the younger students around the perimeter of the school, stopping at each designated station marked by hand-constructed wooden crosses. The re-enactment helped to explain to the younger students what happened so many years ago to Jesus.
“It was a very special day for everyone in attendance, and a blessing to the eighth-graders to reenact this very important day in our Catholic faith,” said Lozano. “The eighth-grade students did an amazing job at reenacting the scenes, and we are so very proud of them for their efforts.”
