MIAMI | For the second time in two weeks, hurricanes have made landfall in Nicaragua and Honduras. Hurricane Eta made landfall in Central America Nov. 3, 2020, as a devastating category 4 storm. Fourteen days later, Nov. 17, 2020, Hurricane Iota struck the same area again, also as a category 4 storm.
Reports coming from Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala show complete destruction of homes and neighborhoods. Landslides caused by the heavy rain also have killed at least 100 people.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami is asking for your support to help the victims of Eta and Iota. 100% of your donation to Catholic Charities will go toward local Caritas organizations in those countries to help alleviate the suffering.
Donations can be made by going to: www.ccadm.org.
