PARKLAND | Candy, colorful signs and costumed superheroes surprised staff and faculty at Mary Help of Christians School as they came to work on Sept. 17, 2020.
The aptly named Home Superheroes Pep Rally was the work of the school's Home & School Board. Dressed as Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman and The Incredibles, the board members waved signs saying "Thank You," "You Are Super" and "You Are Incredible."
A small billboard on a fence summed up the message: "MHOC Teachers and Staff are Superheroes!"
The board also gave Hershey's "Superhero" brand candy bars to the administration to hand out to the teachers and staff.
