MIAMI | Camillus House expects over 70 volunteers to help serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to more than 600 of the charity’s residential and day center clients on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Norwegian Cruise Line Campus, located at 1603 N.W. Seventh Ave., Miami.
“We are very happy to celebrate our 58th Thanksgiving in the Miami community with a wonderful meal for so many of our clients this year,” said Hilda Fernandez, CEO of Camillus House. “It will be a truly rewarding experience, as our clients will have the opportunity to connect with members of our community of all ages and backgrounds.”
Preparations for the feast have already begun. Camillus House’s chefs will roast 120 turkeys for this year’s event. Volunteers are also working hard, spearheading efforts to collect food donations and decorating the charity’s dining hall. Additional donations can be dropped off Thanksgiving Day at the campus.
