DAVIE | St. David School in Davie was blessed to receive a visit from Bishop Charles Peters Barthélus of Port-de-Paix, Haiti, in October.

The school is one of several in the Archdiocese of Miami that provides financial support to sister schools in the Port-de-Paix diocese, the poorest in Haiti, located in the country's remote northwest. (See related story: 'You don't know Haiti but your heart decided to help.')

"He met students and visited our parish and school campus," said Michelle Chimienti, St. David's principal. "Please keep him in your prayers as he has ventured back to Haiti."
