MIRAMAR | Students and staff members from St. Bartholomew Parish and School recently took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Forcina Field, located next to the school's campus.

"The St. Bartholomew community has had a great partnership with the city of Miramar. Five years ago a vision was shared of what Forcina Field could be," said St. Bartholomew's principal, Christine Gonzalez.

After a year of work, Father Andrew Chan-A-Sue, St. Bartholomew's pastor, gave a blessing and stood alongside city commissioners at the ribbon-cutting.

"A few of our students and staff members were able to observe the ceremony and partake in the celebration," added Gonzalez.

Forcina Field is now available to the community for baseball/softball, football and soccer.
