MIAMI GARDENS | Monsignor Edward Pace High School held an induction ceremony on June 1 for 15 new members of its National Spanish Honor Society.

With Pace’s faculty, staff and family members gathered, 11 of the 15 inductees were recognized for their hard work and dedication in their Spanish curriculum.

During the ceremony candles were distributed and lighted as the inductees recited the NSHS pledge in unison, in which they promised to dedicate themselves to study of the Spanish language and recognize the binding power languages have among people of various origins, races and religions.

Francisco Soto, moderator of the society, spoke about the values of the club and the opportunities it offers.

Each inductee was then presented with a certificate indicating that he/she is now part of the society.
