Kim Pryzbylski, archdiocesan superintendent of schools, and Fredy Padovan, executive director of development and technology at Immaculata-La Salle High School in Miami, flew to Austin, Texas, earlier this year to tape the webcast, which is sponsored by Apple Education.
Theyll share best practices in their schools various one-to-one iPad implementations, addressing educational mission, deployment planning, engaging the community, content and instructional practices, professional development, and measuring success, said a press release from Apple.
The webcast is open to anyone involved in education, whether in public or private schools. Those who attend the webcast will be invited to a site visit at one of the Apple Distinguished Schools in their area this fall.
The Archdiocese of Miami has two schools that have been recognized by Apple: Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School in Southwest Ranches is an Apple Distinguished School and Immaculata-La Salle is an Apple Distinguished Program.
According to the press release, site visits provide the opportunity to see what learning looks like with Apple the excitement, the engagement, and the possibilities in real classrooms.
The Archdiocese of Miami and Immaculata-La Salle High School One-to-One iPad Implementations webcast will be broadcast Tuesday, Aug. 27, starting at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pacific time or 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Miami time.
