DAVIE Students and parish family of St. Bonaventure School gathered on the morning of May 5 for the annual May crowning of an image of the Virgin Mary. The crowning, done by second graders Leeza Maloney and Kurtis Ford, was followed by a Mass celebrated by St. Bonaventures pastor, Father Edmond Prendergast.

The crowning is a years-long tradition at St. Bonaventure and other Catholic schools. May is a month when Catholics honor not just their earthly mothers but their heavenly mother as well.
