Adoration begins Friday, after 8:15 a.m. Mass, stops before 6 p.m. Mass, and resumes immediately after, until Saturday 8:15 a.m. Mass.

It is an extension of the Mass. The Catholic Church teaches us adoration of the Eucharist extends our union with Christ after we receive Him during Mass.
