St. Michael of the Saints: Mass and veneration of relic
Wednesday, Feb 27, 2019 at 7:00 PM - English
On Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. in the Adoration Chapel of our parish, we will celebrate an evening honoring Trinitarian Saint Michael of the Saints, patron of those afflicted with cancer and heart disease.
St. Michael was born in Spain in 1591; he entered the Trinitarian Order and led a very holy life of prayer. Following his death in 1625, at the age of 34, St. Michael of the Saints has been petitioned and loved as a miracle-working patron of cancer patients by countless thousands around the globe. His love of the Most Blessed Trinity and the Holy Mother of God and of the Eucharist made him a true mystic and wonder worker, even to our times.
Within the celebration of Mass, oil will be blessed and all are welcome to be anointed. Prayers to St. Michael of the Saints will be recited and veneration of the first class relic, recently obtained from Rome, will follow.
Cancer has touched all of us, whether personally or a loved one, so please join us for this evening of prayer, petitions and healing in honor of this powerful patron.
Prayer pamphlets in both English and Spanish, along with medals, will be available.
