The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation Surgical Suites dedicated at Holy Cross

$5 million donation helped renovate seven operating rooms, and more

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale unveiled seven newly renovated surgical rooms made possible by a donation from The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation. FORT LAUDERDALE|  Holy Cross Health, hosted a dedication ceremony on April 29, 2024 to unveil the newly renovated, newly named Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation Surgical Suites.

The generous $5 million gift from the Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation funded the renovation of seven operating rooms, the storage room and a portion of the area where instruments get sterilized.

“This contribution from The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation revolutionizes patient care and surgical outcomes by outfitting seven operating rooms with state-of-the-art equipment,” said Mark Doyle, President and CEO of Holy Cross Health. “We are blessed to have the support of The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation as we continue to provide our patients and the community with the highest level of quality care and an exceptional experience in our hospital.”

The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation donated million to Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, which helped renovate the surgical suites of the hospital, now named after the donor. The Foundation has long supported Holy Cross Health. The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Diagnostic Imaging Center and Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women's Center are named in honor of the family.

“The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation’s legacy of giving transforms, saves and improves lives. We are so grateful for their ongoing generosity,” said Holy Cross Health Vice President and Chief Development Officer Laura Denoux. “This gift will positively impact our patients and the communities we serve.”

The Foundation also sponsors the annual Holy Cross Health Golf Classic. Over the last 14 years, the tournament has raised nearly $1.6 million for the Partners in Breast Health program at the Holy Cross Health Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women's Center. Partners in Breast Health provides outreach education, clinical breast exams, screening mammograms and diagnostic procedures to lower income and minority women ages 40 and older who lack access to healthcare services. The program also provides services to symptomatic women who are younger than 40.

Mangurian Jr. Foundation. “From the day the doors opened at Holy Cross nearly 70 years ago, the hospital has been a trusted healthcare partner in our community.”

The Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation Surgical Suites are located on the third floor of the hospital, located at 4725 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
