DEERFIELD BEACH | Seventh graders at St. Ambrose School have organized a Right to Life baby shower for the Archdiocese of Miami Respect Life Pregnancy Help Center in Coconut Creek, as part of a respect life project.

The school’s seventh graders created and posted informative posters around school. During the project, held in May, they spoke in each class to encourage donations.

The collection at the end of the month totaled seven large boxes of baby clothes and bags full of diapers, baby wipes, blankets, and assorted baby items. The seventh graders then organized and packed the items for delivery to the pregnancy center.

Besides helping the archdiocesan Respect Life Ministry, the service project was also to honor Mary in May, according to Jennifer Newstreet, science lab teacher and coordinator at St. Ambrose School.
