MIAMI | Parishes across the archdiocese marked the feast of St. Francis of Assisi Oct. 4 by blessing people's pets, in honor of the patron saint of animals. Some of the blessings took place on the actual feast day, others on the days immediately after or before. Here are scenes from two of those blessings, at St. Patrick Church, Miami Beach, Oct. 5, and St. Rose of Lima, Miami Shores, Oct. 6.
