Fourth graders from Our Lady of the Lakes School pose with some of the food items donated to the parish and school's annual Thanksgiving drive. From Nov. 1 through Nov. 25, the Miami Lakes community collected enough to provide Thanksgiving meals to 710 families in neighborhoods surrounding Miami Lakes. The families received food and supermarket gift cards. The food bags included marshmallows, stuffing, dried beans, instant potatoes, corn, yams, cranberry sauce, peas, green beans, rice and macaroni and cheese.
