MIAMI | Johandry Escobar, an eighth grade student at Mother of Christ School, scored the highest of all applicants on the High School Placement Test at Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School.

Carmelite Sister Margaret Ann, Archbishop Carroll's principal, went to Mother of Christ's student Mass Jan. 20, 2023 to personally deliver the news.

For his achievement, Johandry received the Presidential Award and was offered four years of free tuition at the high school.

"Mother of Christ is very proud of Johandry and the honor he received," said assistant principal Christie Barbeiti. "He is not only an example of academic success, but he is also a shining example of Catholic stewardship at school."
