MIAMI | Twin brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer are not only alike in genetics: These high school seniors from Christopher Columbus High School were elected to the 2025 McDonald's All American Games for their exceptional skills in basketball.
At the McDonald’s All American Games, the best of the nation's high school players come to cement their names among the top players in the game. The brothers were selected from over 805 nominees from across the country to compete at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 1, 2025. They will be representing Christopher Columbus High while playing on the Boys East Team.
Cameron is a five-star prospect ranked No. 3 overall in the nation and the top power forward in the nation according to 247Sports. Cayden is a a four-star prospect ranked 24th overall by 247Sports and the No. 4 point guard in the nation.
Christopher Columbus High School honored the stars with a ceremony in the school's gymnasium Feb. 21, 2025. Columbus president Thomas Kruczek, principal David Pugh and athletic director Chris McKeon presented McDonald's All American honorary jerseys to Cameron and Cayden while their coach Andrew Moran, team members and classmates looked on. Also in attendance were Jim Rigg, Archdiocese of Miami superintendent of Catholic schools, as well as representatives from McDonald's including local McDonald’s owner/operator Anthony Lopez, a Columbus alum who owns 26 McDonald stores in Florida. During the ceremony, McKeon announced that Cameron's and Cayden's Columbus Jerseys would be retired.
The brothers arrived at Columbus as freshmen, leading the team to win three consecutive state titles in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The twins will be playing for Duke University this fall.
The Columbus basketball team is scheduled to travel to Lakeland for the 2025 state championship games on March 7-8, hoping to bring home a fourth consecutive state championship trophy.
