McCarthy athletes sign on to play for colleges

SOUTHWEST RANCHES| Three athletes from Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School, along with their families, friends and coaches, participated in the November National Letter of Intent signing and luncheon. 

During the ceremony, Anthony “Tony” Massaro, McCarthy High’s director of athletics, read the athletes' biographies which detailed their accomplishments on and off the field. The students spoke about their deep appreciation for the support of their family and coaches.   

The following student athletes signed the November National Letter of Intent:

  • Christian Demby, of Fort Lauderdale: Baseball - infielder and pitcher signed to North Carolina State University  
  • Jake Anchia, of Pembroke Pines: Baseball - catcher signed to Nova Southeastern University in Davie
  • Chris Diaz, of Davie: Lacrosse - defender signed to Belmont Abbey in North Carolina
