VATICAN CITY | Pilgrims from Miami arrived in Rome, Italy, to participate in the Jubilee of Youth, which is being held from July 28 to Aug. 3, 2025.
The 120-member group includes representatives from various archdiocesan groups, movements, and schools, including Encuentros Juveniles ; Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale; Mary Help of Christians Church in Parkland; Christ the King Church in Miami; St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Southwest Ranches; St. Mary Star of the Sea Basilica in Key West; St. Peter the Fisherman Church in Big Pine Key; and St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens.
Accompanying the group are Miami Auxiliary Bishop Enrique Delgado and Fathers Jaime Acevedo, pastor of St. Mark Church; J. Sterling Laurent, chaplain of Encuentros Juveniles and Hilary Nwainya, assistant professor at St. Thomas University, as well as Archdiocese of Miami staff.
The pilgrimage includes a visit to Assisi, Italy, where a Mass was celebrated at St. Pietro Church.
