Mary Help of Christians Catholic School in Parkland, Florida is accepting applications for a qualified Instructional Coach for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This candidate must have a strong background in reading and math curriculum at the K-8 level, Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards, effective use of educational technology, conducting and coordinating staff development, and providing support to teachers and staff. This instructional leader will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for diverse subject areas and perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilizes the coaching model (planning, demonstrating, providing feedback) with teachers at the school site to provide coaching experiences in classrooms.
- Implements a professional development schedule to include topics such as, but not limited to reading, language arts, science, and math strategies; the effective implementation of differentiated instruction; the implementation of professional learning groups; analyzing and utilizing student assessment data.
- Prepares and delivers presentations and workshops to teachers.
- Collaborates with the school’s administrative team to achieve instructional goals.
- Exhibits knowledge of research based educational practice.
- Demonstrate special expertise in high quality reading, math, and science instruction.
- Analyzes data and relates uses to drive instruction.
- Communicates effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Assists in coordinating and monitoring intervention services to identified students.
- Performs other duties comparable to the above, as these duties describe only the typical, primary features of the job.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Florida Department of Education professional certificate in Elementary Education, Reading, or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ classroom teaching experience and coaching or supervising in Language Arts and/or Reading, and Mathematics, and/or elementary education.
- Expertise in i-Ready implementation and data processes.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment required.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
