Special Education Teacher

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic school in Cutler Bay, Florida, is seeking to hire a qualified Special Education (K-8) School Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This candidate will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for grades K-8. The Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Education required.
- Florida Department of Special Education K-8 teaching certificate in temporary or professional required.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility in assessing student needs and create related strategies to adapt appropriately within the classroom setting.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Collaborative approach to professional learning communities to improve and implement effective curriculum for high student achievement.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
