St. Louis Covenant School in Pinecrest, Florida, is seeking to hire a qualified Elementary School Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instruction to motivate and engage all learners, and develop cross-curricular units. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Education or Elementary Education.
- Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Elementary education, temporary or professional required.
- Prior teaching experience is a plus.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility in assessing student needs and creating related strategies to adapt appropriately within the classroom setting.
- Collaborative approach to professional learning communities to improve and implement effective curriculum for high student achievement.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
