Middle School Math Teacher

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in South Miami, Florida is seeking a dynamic and qualified Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, starting in August. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Middle School Mathematics. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math Education preferred.
- Florida Department of Education certificate in Math, grades 5-9; temporary or professional required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching middle school Mathematics and Algebra.
- Ability to work with junior high school students.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Willingness to work with differentiated instruction and engage students in application skills in a rigorous environment.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies; proficiency with Microsoft Office, iPad, and Gradebook.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
