PreK Teacher Aide (Full-Time)

St. David Catholic School is hiring for a full-time Prekindergarten Teacher Aide for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The PreK Teacher Assistant works as part of a teaching team, assists the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment, and communicates effectively with children, parents, co-workers, and administration. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or associated degree.
- Department of Children and Family (DCF) 45-hour training as well as DCF level 2 background screening.
- ELC (Early Learning Center) courses for SR (School Readiness) and VPK (Voluntary PK) completed.
- CPR First-Aid certification is preferred.
- Attend meetings and professional developments as required.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
