Assistant Toddler Teacher

St. Patrick Catholic Preschool in Miami Beach, Florida is seeking a full-time Preschool Assistant Toddler Teacher for the current school year. S/he will be expected to help the lead teacher to plan for, teach, supervise, and assess toddlers aged 12 months- 30 months. The applicant must be nurturing, loving, and willing to learn. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in early childhood or similar field.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) certification preferred.
- DCF 40 hours of Child Care Training completed.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience required, preferred.
- CPR course and First Aide.
- Strength in creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and families.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
