St. Theresa Catholic School in Coral Gables, Florida is seeking a dynamic and qualified 6th Grade Social Studies / Science teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for 6th grade Social Studies and Science. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and St. Theresa Catholic School. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualification:
- BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education, Science, or Social Studies.
- FDOE Teaching Certificate temporary or professional required.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to work with a variety of students, parents, and staff, and integrate Catholic worldview with the subjects.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies, including iPads and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Google for Education and technology skills needed to use digital books and interactive technology.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
