St. Agatha Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for K to 8th grade students, as well as serve as Assistant Athletic Director. The Physical Education teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Florida Department of Education teaching certificate in Physical Education, temporary or professional required.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Effective managerial skills to serve as Assistant Athletic Director and guide athletic coaches.
- Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches and students.
- Experience as an Athletic Director is preferred.
- Excellent instructional strategies.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written English.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
- Professional demeanor.
