Preschool Aftercare Counselors

St. Patrick Catholic School in Miami Beach, Florida is seeking two part-time Preschool Aftercare Counselors for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This is a wonderful steppingstone into the St. Patrick family and for someone just beginning their career. The preschool works with the Early Learning Coalition and participates in the TEACH scholarship program for associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood. The applicant must be nurturing, loving, willing to learn and to continue their education in an NAEYC accredited preschool. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required and must be at least 21 years of age.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Credential) preferred.
- DCF Child Care Training completed.
- Minimum of 1 year experience required.
- Current CPR course.
- Strength in creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and families.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
