First Grade Teacher

St. James Catholic School in North Miami, Florida has an opening for a 1st Grade Teacher for the 2025-26 year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for the 1st Grade. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
- Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education K-5, temporary or professional required.
- Excellent presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
