High School Spanish Teacher (Full-Time)

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is looking to hire an energetic and creative full-time Spanish Teacher for the current school year. This candidate will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program students of Spanish grades 9-12. The High School Spanish teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Spanish or Foreign Language Education.
- FDOE State Teaching Certification in Spanish or Foreign Language;(grades 6-12) professional or temporary required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching Spanish to all level, with a prove track record of classroom success.
- Candidate should be familiar with MS Office, online gradebooks, and other classroom computer technology; he/she should have a willingness to work with such technology.
- Maintains accurate records to demonstrate student growth.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to offer knowledge and suggestions for best practices in reading and writing.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
