Los Ejercicios Espirituales de San Ignacio de Loyola han sido una de las más grandes aportaciones de crecimiento espiritual que ha beneficiado a la Iglesia durante los últimos cuatro siglos.

Los Ejercicios Espirituales son dirigidos por el padre Pedro González-Llorente, S.J., director espiritual del Centro de Espiritualidad Ignaciana de Miami.

Los Ejercicios de Primera Etapa están, especialmente, diseñados para todas aquellas personas que no han pasado por esta experiencia, o, para aquellas que ya hace tiempo no se retiran a vivir los Ejercicios Espirituales.

Siguiendo los pasos de los Ejercicios de San Ignacio, usted puede aprender diferentes maneras de orar y profundizar en la oración más elevada... La contemplación.

St. John Bosco Clinic

St. John Bosco Clinic, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, and established in 1992, is committed to provide free health care to individuals in our community who are uninsured and financially unable to access health care.   

Our mission is to serve the basic primary medical needs of the uninsured and underserved children and adults in Miami-Dade County, in the manner of Jesus, who healed. As a free clinic, our ability to serve is based on a strong volunteer force.   

If you have an interest in service to others, St. John Bosco Clinic invites you to call us and learn more about the volunteer opportunities.

We currently need Support Staff Volunteers for the following duties: 

Patient Registration – this position will be responsible to interview new patients and complete eligibility applications with primarily Spanish-speaking patients. 
  • Position open on Mondays 12:30 – 4 p.m.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to use a computer to complete forms
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Office Support – this position will primarily work with clinic staff in obtaining reports for the healthcare providers, doing computer work and assisting with other non-direct patient related support services.

  • May volunteer any day of the week (Monday- Friday); minimum of 4 hours per shift
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Good knowledge of computer work
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus

Volunteer requirements

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older
  2. Visit St. John Bosco Clinic for an in-person interview and tour
  3. Complete the Volunteer Application including 2 reference forms and background screening
  4. Bilingual English/Spanish.
  5. Flexibility in accepting varying assignments
  6. Demonstrate non-judgmental, inclusive, compassionate and welcoming attitude

Court-ordered community service volunteers are not accepted.

Saint David Young Adult Ministry (YAM) connects young adults in their 20s-30s with opportunities to grow in faith, serve our community and thrive together at our parish and beyond, committed to be a unifying force between area young adult groups in mutual support, collaboration and fellowship, stronger together!

We meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday alternating topic nights with social outings, plus other events and activities in between including group attendance to other ADOM and area young adult groups' events.
