The school sent their designs to the mayor of Parkland, along with a letter explaining the flag design principles. At the most recent Parkland City Commissioners meeting, April 6, 2022, Mayor Rich Walker recognized students Ariana Jeanneret, Marcos Brook and Camila Ortiz for their flag designs and remarked that their design would be sent to the committee working on the "branding" for Parkland.

“Thank you to Mrs. Donna Hanrahan, STREAM Education teacher, and our creative students for their excellent work,” said Alexandra Fernandez, Mary Help of Christians principal.
