L’shana tova!

Dear Rabbi:

As you and your congregation celebrate “Yamin Nora’im”, the Days of Awe during the High Holydays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, I greet you in the name of the Catholics of South Florida and wish you "L’shana tova."

This year’s observation is bittersweet because on October 7th we mark the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Israel by Hamas and because peace seems ever more elusive in the land we call “Holy”.

While much in the world today seems to speak of death and endless hatred, we must never grow weary in praying for peace in our hearts, in our homes, among our neighbors and among the nations of the world; and let us not weary in praying for a just and lasting peace throughout the Middle East.

Blessed Yom Kipur!

Sincerely yours,

Most Rev. Thomas Wenski
Archbishop of Miami
