HIALEAH | Last week, Immaculate Conception School held a toy drive that collected over 350 toys. On Dec. 15, some of Immaculate's eighth grade students visited two Catholic Charities children's centers, Notre Dame and Holy Redeemer, to distribute the toys.
The students said they loved seeing the children's excited and grateful faces upon receiving the gifts.
"My favorite part was giving the kids the presents because they were joyful," said eighth-grader Damian Coronado. "A lot of people don't get happiness during this time of year but kids should always get happiness during Christmas."
