ATTENTION PASTORAL CENTER EMPLOYEES:
The Pastoral Center will re-open Friday, Oct. 7, at noon. The building will be open earlier, however, for those who need or wish to come in.
While there may have been inconveniences and some property damage (loss of electricity, flooding, etc), South Florida has been spared the ravages of a Category 4 storm. Now we must focus our prayers on those in the counties to our north, in Florida as well as along the coast of Georgia and South Carolina.
We also continue to hold the people of Haiti and Cuba in our prayers as the reports of loss of life and terrible damage begin to come in. Catholic Charites of the Archdiocese is reaching out to assist on behalf of all of us. Here's how to help:
- The Archdiocese of Miami is only accepting cash donations to help the post-Matthew relief and recovery efforts in Haiti, Cuba, the Bahamas and Jamaica.
- Donations may be made through the Catholic Charities website, www.ccadm.org. Click on the “Donate” tab and under the supporting box select “Disaster Relief � Hurricane Matthew.”
- Donations via check may be made payable to: Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, 1505 N.E. 26th Street, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.
- Please designate your donation by noting, “Disaster Relief - Hurricane Matthew” in the memo line.
- Donations will go to purchase water and food for those affected, gas for priests and religious who are assessing damage and distributing aid, and towards rebuilding/repairing damaged infrastructure.

Due to the expected stormy weather with possible tropical storm force winds and rain, the archdiocesan Pastoral Center will be closed on Thursday, October 6.
The Pastoral Center is expected to re-open on Friday, October 7, at noon to 5 p.m.
