MIAMI| Over 3,000 young people graduated from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Miami this year, and 98% are college bound. The following are some statistics collected about the Class of 2025 and their accomplishments.
As @archbishopmccarthyhs stated on a post on Instagram, we say to all the graduates: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Pictures of the Class of 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian for each high school have also been included below.
- 14: Catholic high schools in the archdiocese, including one virtual school, CAVA.
- 3,068: Total number of graduates.
- 522: The largest graduating class, St. Thomas Aquinas, Fort Lauderdale, followed by Columbus, Miami (453), and Archbishop McCarthy, Southwest Ranches (385). Average graduating class size was 255.
- 43: The smallest graduating class, CAVA, followed by Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Coconut Grove (87).
- 98%: college bound.
- 22: entering armed forces.
- 728: attended Catholic schools for 12 years; representing 24% of the graduates of seven schools that obtained those statistics
- 72%: earned college scholarships.
- 22%: recognized as national merit finalists, semifinalists, commended or Hispanic scholars.
- $252.7 million: amount earned in college scholarships (not including CAVA, whose numbers were not available at press time).
- 699,337: number of community service hours completed.
