Assistant Track & Field Coach (Pole Vault)

Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School located in Southwest Ranches, Florida (Broward County) is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Pole Vault Coach for the 2027 season. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Part-time 2-3 days / week after school and on weekends during the Track season from late November pre-season / tryouts through May.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the PV training program, including practices, competitions, strength training, and team events.
- Maintain and inventory all vaulting poles and specific training equipment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes confidence and empowers young athletes to excel in competition.
- Collaborate with the head coach and other members of the coaching staff to ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the Track & Field program.
Qualifications:
- Previous PV coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or above.
- Strong knowledge of track & field rules.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
