Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Hialeah, Florida has an opening for a qualified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher for the current school year. This candidate must be an ESE teacher who is passionate about teaching exceptional students and proficient in strategies that facilitate learning for students with learning disabilities. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in an ESE, self-contained classroom. The teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
- Florida Department of Education Teaching ESE certificate, professional or temporary required.
- Proficient in strategies to teach students with learning disabilities.
- Ability to teach a multi-grade level classroom.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills including use of instructional technologies.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administration, colleagues, and staff.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
