Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and School in Hialeah (Dade County), Florida has an opening for a Social Media / Event Coordinator for the 2026-27 school year. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies that support the mission of both the school and church. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and afterhours / weekends as needed for events.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the school and parish websites, social media platforms, email and text communications.
- Create and design digital and print marketing materials.
- Promote school, parish, and ministry events through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate parent committees and assist with major fundraising and community events.
- Collaborate with school and parish leadership to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Oversee newsletters, media kits, and other communications for current and prospective families.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience.
- Excellent English language communication skills, written and spoken.
- Good spelling and grammar skills.
- Computer Proficiency.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
