Lunchroom Supervisor

St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Plantation, Florida has an open position for a Lunchroom Supervisor. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with children and skilled at monitoring activity and behavior. This person must demonstrate a strong balance of attentiveness with a nurturing disposition, understanding that children who are happy and well cared for at lunch time start the afternoons refreshed and ready to learn.
Schedule: 10:15 am – 1:30 pm., Monday- Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Be responsible for monitoring student behavior during meal service.
- Encourage good table manners.
- Assist with the flow of meal service.
- Circulate throughout the cafeteria where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students.
- Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time.
- Manage parent volunteers.
- Assist with the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Strong English language skills with the ability to communicate with co-workers, students, faculty and parents.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
