Early Childhood Education Teacher

St. David Catholic School is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, in Davie, Florida. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and to develop thematic units. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
- Certification in CDA or higher.
- Must have DCF training.
- State 40 hours’ childcare training with DCF completed, with all competency exams.
- Universal Precautions/Exposure Plan course from DCF.
- Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome Training. Current CPR course.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strength in creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and families. An ability to provide a hands-on approach enabling children to discover, learn, and critically solve problems about the world.
- Proficiency in computer skills and email functions.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
