Dean of Students

Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is seeking an individual to be Dean of Students for Grades 9-12 for the 2026-27 school year. This person will be responsible for enforcing the policies and procedures of student culture, behavior, and attendance. The Dean of Students performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education required, Master’s degree in education preferred.
- Florida Department of Education certificate in Educational Leadership, grades 9-12, temporary or professional.
- Minimum of three years of experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of high school curriculum and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of subject area for all grade levels.
- Knowledge of school safety and security.
- Knowledge of school policies on substance abuse prevention and education.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Must have clear and concise communications with students and parents.
- Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
