Early Childhood Education Teacher

Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Miami, Florida is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop thematic lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills and engage all learners. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
- Two or more years of experience working in a preschool classroom is preferred.
- Department of Children & Families CDA Certification or higher.
- DCF certification completed including 40 hours childcare training and all competency exams.
- Current CPR Training.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese Office of Catechesis, within three years of hire.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strength in creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and families.
- An ability to provide a hands-on approach enabling children to discover, learn, and critically solve problems about the world.
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Outlook, Word and instructional technologies.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
